One of my favorite tapas places,
La Nacional, located in a hidden spot in the basement of the Spanish Benevolent Society,
was closed by the Department of Health a few weeks back. While that might sound off-putting,
the owner explained that the restaurant opened in 1868 and needed structural renovations. Grub Street reports that La Nacional
has reopened and based on their photo, it looks quiet different and may have lost some of its charm. But only a revisit will tell.
Oooh you should go back!
